It’s never been considered a casual entertainment. First annual WKRP turkey drop with Nessman shirt. So much of the rock ‘n’ roll has become so. Rock stars are featured in reality shows and tabloids; Previously Led Zeppelin and Nirvana songs were plugged into commercials and background music; “American Idol” spent the evening performing the performances of the British invasion. Constraining a classic Pink Floyd, “Welcome to the Machine,” has never been further. As seemingly unbelievable, there is a time when rock ‘n’ roll is considered dangerous, or at least threatening. The long world was preceded by the first DVD release of “WKRP in Cincinnati,” CBS sitcoms 1978-82 for an easy listening station that switched to rock format.
