You will be repeating both lessons many many times

You will be repeating both lessons many many times. This is not a once-and-done exercise. You cannot over-praise him for doing the right thing. Start out lessons with high-value treats. You can eventually work up to just Good boy! when he does a command. Do not strike or yell at him. Hitting him will teach him nothing but aggression. That is something he already has too much of. Yelling they don't understand. You need a firm voice with him. No yelling and none of the opposite babies talk either.

To teach it you can do it a few ways. You catch him moving to sit and you then say SIT and praise him with a treat. You have named an action he is already doing. You can also have him in front of you tell him to sit and push his rump into the sit position. Then praise him with a treat just as if he has done it by himself. To teach down you can do it the same way as sitting with catching him laying down and say Down and treat and praise. You can also gently tug on his collar and help him move to the right position. You should NEVER tug hard on his collar. I'm not talking about forcing him in a physical contest. You can also have him in the sit position and hold a treat in front of his nose and guide the treat down to the floor til he naturally lies down to sniff it. Say Down, give treats and praise.

I will be very honest with you. You need to establish who is the boss with this dog. It HAS to be you at all times. Right now he feels he is in charge. A good trainer is so essential to this dog and to you. I really cant overemphasize that one. Some obedience to start with is the sit command. EVERY time he lunges or barks you get him to sit and focus on you. You also want to work on the down command. As in lie down now not get off the furniture. Those are two very different commands. Down means lie down and OFF means off the furniture.

I kiss my dogs on the face all the time. On the cheek, away from the mouth. I also let them lick my nose, but I try to restrict them to two licks, then I tell them, “Good baby kisses!”, And go back to loving them. They often try to go farther with the licking on the nose than just two, but I'm consistent with them, and now they almost never lick me anywhere else on the face. If they try to lick your mouth, be mindful that they are just being affectionate, but to stop mine I put my hand up over my mouth palm outward, and say, “Not the mouth!”

I love the dog’s sincerity and their friendly, positive, and fun-loving attitude, but I can do without their loud barking, rowdiness, muddy paws, hole digging, and huge poops in the yard. I love the cat’s beauty, the purring and desire to be petted and fussed over. However, I could do without the furniture clawing, hissing, scratching, and unwanted gifts of dead rodents, (from outdoor cats), and the stinking litter box, (from indoor cats). Above all, I hate it when cats climb all over the furniture and walk on the kitchen table and counters, (after visiting the litter box). The more I think about it, I prefer dogs!

Once they certify it, then the Electoral College votes. No one is claiming that the Electoral College vote was illegitimate. Which is how the president is actually elected. The 50+ state elections aren’t actually for the president.
