I suppose a con of spaying your pet would be the risk to the procedure going wrong, but that’s a risk with every procedure. Most vets have spayed and neutered countless numbers of pets and know how to do it safely and efficiently. The process itself even takes less than 20 minutes! There are even medical vans that go around with the sole intent of spaying/neutering pets and many shelters will offer the spaying and neutering service with the adoption of a pet! There’s also a high probability of finding a low-cost spay clinic in your area.

Keep showing her that your cat likes it when you speak softly to him and pet him gently. Maybe you can tell her the cat is like a baby and she has to be gentle. Treat her dolls the same way and maybe she will understand.

There are a number of neighborhood cats who I’ll see consistently for a couple of weeks, and then they’ll disappear for another couple of weeks, then show back up again. These are my less dedicated cats. They’re not necessarily more or less feral than the ones who are more consistent; they just don’t have as strong an attachment to my location over someone else’s home in the neighborhood who also feeds them. I’ve also had a few who ‘migrated out’ as I’d call it. One was a kitten when she appeared at my house. Probably barely old enough to be weaned. At first she lived around my house full-time. Too skittish to catch but trusting enough to hang around. But as she got older she started to drift. At first she’d miss a meal. Then she’d be gone all day. Then a few days. For a while I was kidding that I had a shared custody arrangement with someone, because she’d be at my place for about a week, and then disappear for a week, then be back.
