 Unless your cat has had a long run of antibiotics, then the chances that they will NEED probiotics is unlikely. My cat actually had tests done for “bad bacteria” overgrowth when she began to have the foulest smelling diarrhea. Vet ordered probiotics meant for cats, and I gave them for the month required. She is now balanced in her gut and I will only occasionally give her a partial dose. I know cat food companies are now pushing probiotic food, for cats with tummy trouble. BUT..unless your vet has checked for, and determined a NEED, there could very well be another reason your cat has tummy trouble…like an allergy to the junk they often add to pet food or something else they are eating (like milk,, for example).
