I don’t really cheer for teams. I’m an American citizen and want to see Team USA do well, but as a sports journalist my interest is far more in the individual athletes and specific sports. I was however elated to see Yuto Horigome win the first gold in skateboarding on his own home turf of Tokyo. There was just something awesome about that. Hmm. Let’s limit them to one event each! Also, no equipment other than anything allowed by their event. I see you have chosen the first two Avengers films so those are the Avengers I will use. Iron Man doesn’t get to bring his suit, and virtually none of his other interests are Olympic events, so almost by default he enters into the Boxing event. He can hold his own but he’s too used to having his suit behind him, and loses on points in his first match. Thor Completely crushes the Olympic record of 87 m with an astounding 500 m throw.
