Leaving is your and your moms business-not his. Keep that on the down low and have a safe place, friends, shelter, or family. Long term-it’s a complex dynamic. That sometimes takes years to leave. Some women never leave. And their kids are brought up in violence and are damaged and then have to heal long term affects of abuse and learn a healthier way to live and trust again.
Some couples work it out after major physical abuse.
Don’t ask me how though. Personally, once abused-I would do my best to leave as
many times as it takes. Good luck honey thanks fir reaching out with this very
important question. Please contact the 1–800 Donestic Violence hotline or
confide in someone you can trust.
