The only solution has been for us to get something prescribed by our vet to calm them down. But you have to get ahead of it. If you wait until the fireworks or storm starts, it's too late because the adrenaline starts flowing and there's no calming them down. The prescribed dosage for what the vet gave us is 1 or 1.5 pills so I started at 6:00 giving them each one. By the time the fireworks started at about 7:30, they were pretty calm. As things ramped up, I gave another half at around 9:00 and they both just stayed mellow. For the first time in years, the 4th was calm for them this year. Work with your vet. They'll help you find a solution that will calm your dog down and reduce it's anxiety.
